Author's Note
Dear readers,
Thank you for picking up this collection. I loved poetry and literature growing up. I always wanted my work to add something, to say something important or new. Not until a er working on this project did I find other poetry collections about the ace spectrum. I recommend checking those out too.
I suspected that I am aromantic long before I came out. I kept the thought in my pocket until I found Hopeless Aromantic By Samantha Aimee and found the identity cupioromantic. It clicked. Just like when I realized that I am transgender. It just felt right and made so much sense. Then the dread came in. That I may never know what it felt like to feel romantic love. However, the definition of being aromantic is to feel little to no romantic attraction. I hold on to that with hope that maybe someday I'll find love.
Being ace and aro a spectrum. Everyone has a different experience; you're valid.
I still feel lots of love for my friends and family. There needs to be more importance of platonic love because it is just as special and meaningful. Life is a journey and you may not be the same as you are today. Be weird. Be unapologetically queer.
