How Our Promos Work
At Something Novel This Way, we are committed to shining a light on indie and small press authors. We understand the challenges you face in gaining visibility, and our mission is to connect your stories with readers eager for fresh and diverse voices through promotions on our newsletter and website.
Please note we do not accept books that feature harmful or hateful content. Additionally, we do not allow the use of AI-generated covers or writing. Books submitted to us must be in line with our guidelines or they will not be featured.
Promo Schedule
We post and send every promotion type to our subscribers once a month. Freebies go out the first week. Beta & ARCs go out the second week. Wide/Non-Amazon Recs go out the third week. And KU Recs go out the last week of the month.
Free Promos
Authors can submit their books to our website and newsletter for FREE. Newsletter promotional spots are capped at 10 (first come, first served). But website spots are unlimited (but the earlier you submit, the better).
Dedicated Book Blast - $4.99
Our Book Blast service gives you the chance to be the sole focus of our newsletter. You can choose to spotlight either a single book title or your entire backlist. This newsletter is sent to readers who have opted in to receive updates about books in your specific genre. Within this newsletter, you have complete freedom to promote your book(s) however you'd like. You can include things like:
Linking to playlists
Sharing excerpts
Explaining why you wrote the book, your inspirations, what sets it apart from other books in the genre, etc.
Any other promotional material you believe will resonate with potential readers.

You are the sole focus, allowing you to really showcase your work in a more personalized way.
